Freehold Friday: Happy New Year!

I want to wish all my fans a safe and Happy New Year, wherever you may be, for you and your families. It’s been a great year here at the Freehold. We published Sic Semper Tyrannis and The Shift and also did a complete redux edit on Alea Jacta Est (which was, in effect, as time consuming as editing a new book). These are not small books, as you know and I’ve got a large chunk of the sequel to The Shift already “on paper” as well.

I’m looking forward to a productive 2016 and I have some big plans. First, I’ll be finishing the third installment of the Wildfire Universe and I’ll also be writing the third installment of the Future History of America series (the ones with the names in Latin!). Depending on where those series end up, I may start (hopefully finish!) a fourth in one of them.

Returning to the present, I’d like to thank everyone who responded to my Apache Dawn audio book contest question, the answers I received were terrific! More than a few of you had very insightful and compelling responses.

I announced that the first 5 people to send me a quick email would win a copy of the audio book. Those 5 people have already been contacted with instructions on how to get their copy. The winners are, in no particular order and with names abbreviated for privacy:

D. T.

Brian S.

Gene W.

Allison D.

Mike S.

Thank you all for being a part of my first giveaway contest (there will be more in the future, possibly with some print copies or other swag) and I hope you enjoy the audio book!

Freehold Friday: Contest time!

Seasons Greetings!

There won’t be a Freehold Friday this week due to Christmas, so I’m taking this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy holiday.  But that doesn’t mean I don’t get to play Santa!

AD ACX FINAL blogWho’s ready to win a free audio copy of Apache Dawn? If you are, keep reading.

Here’s how we’re going to do this.  On December 26th, I’m going to ask a simple question to everyone signed up on the Freeholder Update. The first five people to reply with their answer will win a free copy of the book.  The contest will be available for the 26th and 27th and if I don’t get enough answers, I will randomly select Updaters to win.

I’ll post the question (it’s not going to be hard, don’t worry) to the blog on Friday after the question goes out to the mailing list so all y’all who aren’t Updaters (and why aren’t you, anyway?) can see what was asked for grins.  I’ll also announce the winners on the blog, so keep watching!

And remember, if you can’t wait for the next few days (kind of like my kids), you can always skip the crowd and get your copy of Apache Dawn to listen in your car (or wherever you can listen to audiobooks) TODAY! Follow this link to nirvana…

In the meantime, make sure you sign up for the Freehold Update and check your inbox for the contest question!

Freehold Friday: Happy happy, joy joy

Howdy muchachos!

I am in fine spirits today, and I hope you are too. The holidays are here and winter is back (there’s no snow on the ground—yet—but it’s winter and in this area of the country, there will be snow). My beautiful bride got me tickets to see the new Star Wars movie for my birthday, what could be better, I ask you?

Well, for starters, the Apache Dawn audiobook is out and selling far better than I expected in the first week of availability! Thank you so very much! Your continued support is humbling and inspiring.

But that’s just the beginning. In the spirit of the holiday season, I invite you to sign up to the Freehold Update. In the next week I’m going to launch a contest to win some free copies of the Audiobook! Details to follow. The first step, though, if you haven’t signed up all ready, is to join the Update!

Freehold Friday: Apache Dawn Audiobook released!

Welcome friends!  I have great news–the Apache Dawn audiobook, narrated by the very talented James Romick, is now available for purchase!

The official length is listed on Amazon’s page as 18 hours and 26 minutes.  For a purchase price of $21.83, that’s a little over a dollar per hour for entertainment.  Where else, I ask you, can you get such value for the ride in to work?

If you’re a member of Audible, you get to listen for free!  It’s coming soon for iTunes if you’re so inclined and I’ll make a separate announcement when that goes live.

As always, if you want to know before everyone else (even the readers of this blog!) when the next book will be released, any promotions or other cool news, sign up to get the monthly Freeholder Update today!
